A quick bite out of the house was in order for a long overdue catch-up with a special friend. We chose Panizzi, a restaurant in Beverley near North Bar. It was busy with lots of tables booked but they could fit us in. Panizzi it well known for its sharing boards which offer a mixture of meat, cheese, bread and olives in different styles. I opted for the 'Parisian', which included brie, goats cheese, chicken liver pate, olives, chutney and salad. My pal enjoyed lots of different meats on the 'Charcuterie' board, which also came with pickles.
It was perfect fodder for grazing on while chatting over a couple of drinks and the setting, all wooden tables, cosy rooms and candles, was lovely. I'd done the boys salmon before I left which was a treat for them as I can't stand it so it is rarely on our table.
